Sutherland Shire Council animal shelter operates in partnership with
City of Sydney Council. They house dogs and cats that have been abandoned, found straying or have been seized. They also find new homes for animals if they can’t be returned to their owners.
They find new homes for dogs and cats of all ages, including puppies, kittens and older animals. Before adoption, dogs and cats are temperament tested, desexed, lifetime registered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Sutherland Shire Council Animal Shelter is now
cashless. You can make your payment by a debit or credit card.
The shelter has a 'low kill' policy. This means only dogs or cats assessed to be a danger, or who have an illness that affects their quality of life are euthanised. We are proud of our dedication in rehoming pets of all shapes and sizes.
