Overview
Sweet, sensitive, and completely people-obsessed, Ava is the kind of dog who will melt into your side and stay there if you let her. This lovely lady has a heart of gold and forms strong bonds with her people, leaning on them for comfort when the world feels a little too big. Ava can be a touch hesitant in new situations, but once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines through. She's looking for a home that will give her the reassurance and routine she needs to thrive. She can be great with other dogs and enjoys their company, but she can sometimes rush introductions and play a little rough. With slow, considered introductions and ongoing socialisation, she has the potential to build some lovely doggy friendships. With a bit of patience, she may also be able to share her space with a cat, provided the same gentle approach is taken. Ava does experience some mild separation anxiety, so she'd be best suited to a part-time worker or someone who spends more time at home. Due to her appeasing behaviours and sensitivity, Ava would do best in a home with children aged 10 and over who can understand her gentle nature. She's not asking for much, just someone she can look up to and depend on. If you're after a loyal, loving shadow who will always be in your corner, Ava is ready to be your girl.
